It's been nearly two years since City Construction started renovations of Fairmont Senior High School.

Wednesday, that project is just under a month away from completion.

Marion County Superintendent Gary Price said Fairmont Senior has been completely renovated and will be a "new school in an old building."

The project included lowering the ceilings and repaving the parking lots.

"Plumbing, the lighting, all of the computer wiring, lowered ceilings, redid the floors, resurfaced and painted the walls. Its basically a new school in an old building," Price said.

The Board of Education will host a grand reopening ceremony for Fairmont Senior in mid December.
