Tucker County looks to extend its win streak in the 2012 high school football playoffs. The Mountain Lions are 12-0 and the No. 1 Ranked team in Class A. Tucker needs just one more win to make it to the State Championship game.
The Mountain Lions host No. 4 Madonna on Saturday. Game time is set for 1:30 p.m. at R.H. Armstrong Field in Parsons. The Blue Dons are 11-1 but haven't lost since week two of the regular season. That loss was a 28-22 defeat at the hands of defending State Champion Wheeling Central Catholic.
The two teams have had a few same opponents in the 2012 season. Both squads played Notre Dame and Clay-Battelle. Madonna beat Notre Dame 49-12 and handed Clay-Battelle it's first loss of the season 40-2. Tucker County beat Notre Dame 69-35 and eliminated No. 8 Clay-Battelle from the playoffs in the second round, 48-14.
Both squads have good quarterbacks. This semifinal playoff game will likely come down to which team makes fewer mistakes.
