A house that had been abandoned and knocked down on Flaggy Meadow Road in Mannington caught fire early Thursday morning.
It happened around 12:30 a.m., and Mannington Fire Chief Jim Moran said they had the fire under control within half an hour.
He said they don't suspect any foul play, but the cause of the fire is unknown. The Marion County Sheriff's Department is investigating, and the Mannington Fire Department, Marion County Sheriff's Department and Marion County Rescue Squad responded.
