A record number of Shinnston residents woke up early this morning to run in the fourth annual Turkey Trot.

More than 600 runners and walkers participated in the 5K, and among them, WBOY's very own Jason Parrish and Tony J. Amormino. The annual race raises money for the Harrison County 4-H.

"We love 4-H, we grew up in 4-H. We want to promote the health 'H' here in West Virginia and we want to give something back to the community," said Shinnston Turkey Trot co-director Stacia Talkington. "It's a fun way that we can share our love for running and also our love for 4-H."

David McCollum won for the men in a time of 16:10 and Emma Harrison won for the women with a time of 20:03.
