Walmart welcomed Black Friday shoppers at 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening.
Families enjoyed an early Thanksgiving dinner and arrived at WalMart with lists and sales papers in hand. Cateena Smarr says her family goes Black Friday shopping every year.
"We get pretty much anything as long as its within limits were here for, maybe a TV. We're here for clothes, toys, especially for my kids. A little bit of everything," Smarr Said.
Smarr also said her family will visit other stores when they finish up at Walmart and that they will wrap up their Black Friday shopping trip at Meadowbrook Mall.
