An electrical fire destroyed a home in Harrison County Tuesday night. The Harrison County 911 Center said it started just after 12:15 a.m. on Locust Street in Salem. It said the fire appears to be suspicious.

Small businesses were buzzing Saturday with shoppers supporting Small Business Saturday.
In Morgantown, the Elegant Alley Cat said the store was busy from the moment it opened until it closed.
The third annual event was created by American Express and promotes shopping at local businesses.
The Elegant Alley Cat said the event has been growing each year, and hopes that continues.
"I hope more and more people start to realize how important local businesses are, and how much we give back to the community. I really hope they'll continue the trend in supporting small and locally owned businesses," said manager Laura McFalls.
Some shoppers told businesses Saturday they would be doing all their holiday shopping locally this year.
