Farm Tractor Accident Kills 1 in Monongalia County

    An electrical fire destroyed a home in Harrison County Tuesday night. The Harrison County 911 Center said it started just after 12:15 a.m. on Locust Street in Salem. It said the fire appears to be suspicious.

The West Virginia State Police said one man is dead after a farm tractor accident in Monongalia County.

The accident happened around 7 p.m. Saturday.

Authorities said David Jeffers was clearing wood from an embankment near Walnut Hill Road, when his tractor rolled over on top of him.

Jeffers died at the scene.

The accident is still under investigation.
