WVU Holds Annual Holiday Book Drive

Posted: Updated:

West Virginia University is collecting children's books for kids in need.

The third annual Holiday Book Drive is run by the WVU College of Human Resources and Education Alumni Association.

The books will be distributed across the state through the WVU extension program.

The drive collected more than 1,000 books last year.

The college trains educators and said the drive promotes the ideas of the school.

"Our main focus of course is education. We are the college of Human Resources and Education," said Mary Beth Sickles, of the College of HR & Education. "Reading follows our mission in supporting education in the state."

You can drop off books at the Morgantown Mall, Mountaineer Mall, Giant Eagle on Green Bag Road, Allen Hall, various United Bank locations, and at the Huntington Bank on University Avenue.
