
For the first time since 2004, the Glenville State men's basketball team one its opening WVIAC game. Last week, the Pioneers beat Wheeling Jesuit 87-83.
Freshman D.J. Blanks was a big help in that game and the conference has named him the Co-WVIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week. He shares the honor with Charleston's Terrell Lipkins.
In the win over the Cardinals the Akron, Ohio native recorded a triple-double. He scores 12 points, grabbed 12 rebound and had 13 assists.
