Monongalia Property Reassessments hearings are winding down.
Reassessment hearings began in February.
Some property values doubled even tripled in 2011.
More than 1,500 people requested reassessments in Monongalia County.
The commission said the hearings will be complete by the end of the year.
They said they are happy to be moving on.
"We move on with a guarded concern for next year, because we're not really sure where we're going to be with those property tax amounts," said Bill Bartolo, of the Monongalia County Commission. "And if they revert back, we're going to have a repeat of what we had last year."
In January Mark Musick will take over as the county's new assessor.
