Route 119 North in Grafton was closed Thursday due to a vehicle rollover accident that happened just after 11 a.m.

A car was traveling south on U.S. 119 when it went off the road, sheared a pole and rolled over.  It came back onto its wheels headed north bound, according to Chief Deputy Terring Skinner with the Taylor County Sheriff's Department.

The driver was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital with a head injury and the passenger was flown by medical helicopter to Ruby Memorial Hospital with a severe leg injury.

The road closure was half of a mile north of the Route 50 intersection. The road has since reopened.

The Grafton Police Department is investigating the incident.

The Taylor County Sheriff's Department, W.Va. State Police, Taylor County EMS and the Grafton Fire Department all responded to the scene.
