West Virginia University's United Way campaign has raised more than $300,000.

The University unveiled its $330,050 total Thursday afternoon.

Since 2007, WVU has raised more than $1.5 million for the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties.

Head Football Coach Dana Holgorsen served as this year's campaign chair.

"Being able to hang out with a bunch of good people people and being able to continue to meet people is I think one thing that gets lost in charity work. You're asking a whole lot of people for money, but you're meeting a whole bunch of good people and you're able to develop a lot of relationships and friendships throughout the process," Holgorsen said.

The university has campaigned for the United Way for 30 years.
