The Lewis County community is helping one of its own in a big way.
Businesses across the county have been raising money to help Tate Dever, who is 9 years old. Dever has aplastic anemia, a disease with symptoms similar to leukemia.
Appalachian Glass in Weston is raffling off a colossal Christmas stocking and asking for donations to help support Dever's treatment.
Other businesses, like Jerry's Sporting Goods in Horner, have helped the cause as well.
Dever's relatives said having the support of the community has made their lives easier while his treatment continues.
For more information on the raffle and donations, contact Appalachian Glass at (304) 269-1030.
