PRESTON COUNTY -

Some Preston County residents are without phone lines after a series of copper thefts.

The Preston County Sheriff's Department said copper phone lines have been stolen three times in the past week.

The Sheriff's Department said this has been an ongoing issue for about a year.

The outages affect Frontier Communications customers in the Tunnelton, Rowlesburg, and Fellowsville areas.

A Frontier spokesman said crews are working to restore service.
