GRAFTON -
Grafton held its annual Christmas parade Saturday evening, followed by a "giant toy giveaway."
For at least 30 years the city of Grafton, The Mountain Statesman, and the Grafton Fire Department have teamed up to hold this toy giveaway.
Any child who signed up to receive a toy got it hand delivered by Santa Claus. The money for the toys comes from local businesses, and community member donations.
This year the city made sure they had enough toys for everyone.
"We had 175 kids sign up this year, and all 175 kids had toys. We had extra toys for kids that weren't signed up. So we were covered this year to make sure that no kid went away without a toy" said Robert Jennings, Mountain Statesman staff member.
In addition to the 175 toys, six bikes were given away at random.
