    The militant group ISIS has beheaded four Western hostages, two from the United States and two from Britain. Monday night, WVU's Muslim Association held a vigil for one of the murdered American journalist.

A four car collision closed Route 50 westbound in Ritchie County Monday morning.

The collision happened around 6:30 a.m. near the intersection with Route 74.

One person, Jonathan D. Newell, 39, of Big Bend died as a result of the accident. Other drivers and passengers were transported to area hospitals with injuries, according to West Virginia State Police.

The road reopened around 8:15 a.m., according to the West Virginia Department of Transportation.

State Police are bringing in an accident reconstructionist Tuesday to determine how the accident happened.
