WVU Police Seeking Information in Attempted Robbery

The West Virginia University Police Department is seeking information regarding a reported attempted robbery Sunday.

The attempted robbery was reported to have happened at approximately 6:20 p.m. Sunday on the Life Science Building staircase, according to police.

The victim said that three males grabbed him and that one held him in a headlock while the other two searched him. Police said nothing was taken, no injuries were sustained and no weapons were present at the time of the incident.

One of the men was described as a skinny white male with short brown hair, wearing a gray sweatshirt. The second man was described as a black male, approximately 6 feet 2 inches, around 200 pounds with shoulder length dreads, wearing a blue and yellow hat, a baggy jacket and calf-length shorts. The third male was described as a black male with short hair wearing dark clothing, police said.
