Chick-fil-A Donates Percentage of Sales to Transplant Patient

A local man who has spent his life helping others now needs some help himself, and Chick-fil-A is doing its part to help him.

On Monday, Chick-fil-A donated 15 percent of its sales from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. to the David Signorelli Heart and Kidney Transplant Fund.

Signorelli, whose organs were damaged after he underwent chemotherapy in 1984, was a firefighter, paramedic, and a member of Shinnston City Council for years. Signorelli said his friends and family were happy to be able to show their support. He also said it was like a family reunion.

"It's great being here, seeing all my friends, people I don't even know, people from Philippi and Buckhannon. They saw on Facebook and showed up. I appreciate every bit of it because it's a hard thing trying to raise money for this," Signorelli said.

If you'd like to make a donation to help Signorelli, you can visit his website.
