Stonewall Resort will truly be "close to nature" and "far from ordinary" the weekend of December 7-9 as Grant Kemmerer III brings his Wild World of Animals showcase for a weekend of animal entertainment and education, resort officials announced.

Additionally, the weekend will feature a variety of holiday performances by regional groups and different holiday-themed craft and culinary demonstrations.

The Wild World of Animals showcase – which has been featured on David Letterman, Piers Morgan, Good Morning America and more – offers guests a comical and interactive experience with a variety of exotic animals.

Three Wild World of Animals shows will be offered throughout the weekend: Friday evening at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Throughout the day on Saturday, guests will have the opportunity to "meet" the animals, learn about their habitat and habits and interact with Wild World of Animals staff. Animals scheduled to be featured in the event include Siberian tigers, snow leopards, bearcats, warthogs and other mammals, birds and reptiles. However, this lineup is subject to change.

The weekend will also feature holiday activities for the family. The Madrigal Singers of Clarksburg will perform holiday favorites, as will local vocal talent Maggie Ludwig. The Diamond Dancers will perform selections from the Nutcracker Suite as well. Holiday craft and culinary demonstrations, along with planned recreational activities, will be offered throughout the weekend.

Stillwaters Restaurant will offer special meal selections throughout the weekend and Sunday will feature a special brunch with Santa from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
