The executive director of the Marion County Convention and Visitors Bureau is retiring after 20 years of service. Marianne Moran was honored Wednesday evening at Heston Farms Winery in Fairmont.
Moran said she is happy about the things she accomplished at the CVB.
"I've enjoyed 20 years of being the executive director of the CVB of Marion County and loved every minute of it. Some of the goals that I had, and met, the number one of them being getting into the new visitors center. I thought it was time to move on and enjoy some retirement and spend more time with my family," said Moran.
Moran said she plans to spend a lot of time with her family before she does some consulting work in the future.
