
West Virginia State Police have arrested a Fairmont man on child abuse charges.
Dale Barber, Sr., 40, was arrested and charged with three counts of child abuse resulting in injury against an 11-year-old boy, according to Sgt. Adam Scott, of the W.Va. State Police.
According to Sgt. Scott, Barber confessed to three incidents that resulted in injury. The first two incidents resulted in the 11-year-old boy suffering from bruises on his head and arm.
The third incident occurred after the boy was not doing exercises properly. State police said that incident resulted in the boy suffering from a bruise to the chest after being hit with a wooden board.
Barber was arraigned Thursday and was released on $15,000 bond.
