
The Upshur County Sheriff's Department has arrested four Tallmansville residents on animal cruelty charges.
The sheriff's department arrested Denver Claypool, 43, Jessica Raulston, 18, Scott Tenney, 40, and Shelly Tenney, 40, and charged them with one count each of misdemeanor animal cruelty.
On November 21, 2012, Patti Gum, an Upshur County Animal Control officer found malnourished dogs without adequate shelter and in need of medical treatment due to their appearance while at a residence in Tallmansville, according to a criminal complaint.
The officer gave the four residents two weeks to comply with her requests for care of the malnourished dogs.
According to criminal complaint, all four failed to comply.
