Four expert witnesses testified Friday on a Randolph County man's mental status.

Theodore Newlon, 82, is accused of murdering his wife, Dora Newlon, in February 2012.

Three of the expert witnesses said Newlon is not competent to stand trial because he suffers from several medical problems.

The fourth expert said he is competent.

Judge Jamie Wilfong asked both sides to present their final arguments on Monday, December 17.

Wilfong will issue her ruling on Thursday, December 20.
