MORGANTOWN -

Monongalia County officials were sworn in Friday afternoon.

Judge Susan Tucker presided over the ceremony at the courthouse.  County officials said it was an exciting ending to their campaigns.

"I'm just really ready to start working for the citizens and treating everyone equally," said Tom Bloom, who was sworn in as county commissioner. "And I think the thing about today it was a big win for the average citizen in Monongalia County. And I believe we're going to look forward, I'm going to represent them, and we're going to have a lot of fun."

Magistrate Judge Sandy Holepit and Sheriff Al Kisner were also sworn in.
