CLARKSBURG -

The Clarksburg Rotary held its 16th Annual Holiday Invitational High School Swim Meet at the Harrison County YMCA Saturday afternoon.

Fourteen high school teams and more than 200 students competed in the swim meet. Rotary members said it's the informal kick off to the high school swim season.

"This is just a great opportunity to start the swim season off for the high school swimmers, an invitational meet as opposed to a dual meet. It's a good chance for them to see what the competition is going to be like around the state, and also just to get their own head together for how they want to swim certain events" said Lee Gustafson, Clarksburg Rotary member.

Schools came from all over the state to compete.
