FAIRMONT -
Dozens of people came out to Prickett's Fort to take advantage the 18th century Christmas Market on Sunday.
The market gave visitors the opportunity to shop in a unique historic setting.
Vendors were selling handcrafted jewelry, ornaments, toys, and more.
The event is free and only guided tours require a ticket.
Local musicians performed seasonal music and hot wassail was available to try.
"We have people make jewelry," said Greg Bray, Prickett's Fort Executive Director. "We have traditional dated to the time period of the fort paddle horns, things like that. We have jewelers, spoon makers, just all kinds of different things. There's been 18 different vendors this year."
Employees said they are extremely happy with the Market turnout this year.
The fort has various events planned in the upcoming months.
