CHARLESTON, WV -

The West Virginia Department of Transportation has invited the public to the launch of the West Virginia 511 Traveler Information System.

West Virginia 511 will provide free, real-time traffic information, including congestion, crashes, construction, lane closures, road conditions and severe weather information for all of West Virginia's interstates and other major highways.

The system will be unveiled at 10 a.m. Dec. 12 at the Upper Rotunda of the State Capitol.
