CLARKSBURG -

Christmas traditions from 13 different countries were on display Sunday afternoon at the Harrison County Recreation Complex.

"Christmas Around the World" in Clarksburg took visitors to different displays that listed the history, facts, and myths about holiday celebrations in other countries.

The displays also had interactive parts for the children.

"We try to have food from different countries, let them taste and see things from different countries. We have our wassail drink from England, we have rice cakes from Japan, we have tea and different cookies, and Swedish meatballs even. Different things… we let them taste a little bit from different countries" said Mike Book, Director for Harrison County Parks and Recreation.

The event on Sunday was an open house, but school groups will be visiting the recreation center until December 20th.
