Final preparations for the 31st annual Food and Toy Distribution in Morgantown are underway.

Volunteers working with the United Way, WCLG, and Christian Help to organize the food and toys at the National Guard Armory on the Mileground.

Workers will be there through Wednesday preparing for Thursday's distribution.

The United Way is looking for more volunteers and said anyone can help out.

"Kids can come out an help, this is not something where you need someone hovering over them, it's a simple event where you can set kids loose to organize, and they get to see that payback of their efforts of going out and helping the community. It goes from eight in the morning to eight at night, so working families or individuals can come out as well," said Sarah Graham, of United Way.

Anyone interested in volunteering or donating can stop, or drop donations off at the Armory.
