The Arts Council of Preston County held a meeting Monday night to look for ways to improve its programs.
It is a non-profit organization that encourages and supports the vitality of the arts in Preston County.
The group's main accomplishment is the Arts Council of Preston County Gallery, where local juried artists display and sell their work.
"We're sort of still feeling our way around and trying to figure out what it is that we do need to do," said Arts Council President Christine Crocher. "But what we want to do, our goal and objective, is to bring the arts to the people so that it can encourage them and bring people together via the arts."
The group's next project will connect local students with elderly citizens in the community to write their stories.
