Every year "Wood's Boat House" in Fairmont adds a little something extra to the Tygart Valley River.

A 25-foot tall Christmas tree stands on a floating dock for those passing by to see.

The tree has an aluminum frame, 500 bulbs, and is see-through.

It's been placed in the middle of the river since 1987and has become a Fairmont tradition.

In 2011, the water levels prevented Wood's Boat House from putting the tree on the river.

But with more than 30,000 cars passing by a day, it wasn't hard for the public to notice.
