A Harrison County judge sentenced former Salem city manager David Mayle Wednesday for embezzling thousands in Salem city funds.
Judge J. Lewis Marks sentenced Mayle to a minimum of one year and a maximum of 10 years in prison after a jury convicted him of six counts of falsifying, embezzlement and conspiracy to embezzle on October 16.
Mayle will also be ordered to serve a three-year probation term and pay $43,729.75 in restitution to the city of Salem upon his release from incarceration.
