SHINNSTON -

A special sale took place at a store in Shinnston on Wednesday. Home Style, a country home décor store, held a sale dedicated to the date December 12, 2012.

Some of the sales included items two for $12, items marked down 12 percent, and some items marked down to $12. Owner Melissa Aldridge said the sale attracted a lot of shoppers.

"We opened for 12 hours today, that's unusual for us. From 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. this evening. We've been steady all day long, especially after work. Our most popular item has definitely been $12 purses. We had a lady this morning go out of here with five of them" said Aldridge.

Home Style is a family business that opened in Shinnston three years ago.
