Everyone gets a lead foot every so often. But a study showing that West Virginia has more fatalities from car wrecks than other areas in the United States may have drivers on Interstate 79 hitting the brakes.
Fairmont State University hosted more than 50 teams of middle school students last Saturday for its inaugural LEGO League Tournament.
The students worked for months to design a robot to be used in obstacles and challenges.
The first LEGO event challenges students in "robot design", research, team work, and how well their robots work in the table challenge.
A team of home-schooled students from Fairmont called the "SCIENEERS" took first place in each category.
The team will now compete in the First "World Festival" in St. Louis next spring.
