WESTOVER -

Hundreds of people flocked to a live nativity scene in Monongalia County Friday night.

The Kingdom Evangelical Methodist Church in Westover hosted its second annual live nativity show.

In addition to last year's features, this year's production included a new town of Bethlehem, a camel, sheep and other animals.

The church wants to remind people of the reason for the season and give locals a look at the First Christmas

"We are absolutely trying to transport people back into that time," said Reverend Kevin Caine. "And it's funny when you walk around the sets the people that are acting it out and there's over a hundred people performing this every night, they're pretending like they're part of Bethlehem."

The church also provided hot chocolate, cookies and other treats to the visitors.

The show will also be held Saturday night from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
