2 Lewis County Residents Plead Guilty in Elkins District Court

Two Lewis County residents pleaded guilty before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull on December 14 in U.S. District Court in Elkins, according to a news release from the office of the U.S. Attorney Northern District of W.Va.

Lawan Gaddy, 24, and Tiffany Roach, 23, each pleaded guilty to providing a false statement to a federal firearms license in the acquisition of a firearm on September 20, 2011, according to the news release.

Gaddy, who is in custody pending sentencing, and Roach, who is out on bond, each face up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

This case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Zelda E. Wesley and investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
