NTelos Wireless Collecting Mobile Phones to Support Troops

Posted: Updated:

nTelos Wireless is offering a way for you to get rid of your old cell phone, and support the military.

For the second year, nTelos has partnered with 'Cell Phones for Soldiers' to collect mobile phones in its stores.

Funds from the recycled phones will be used to buy prepaid calling cards for deployed troops.

nTelos said the program allows soldiers to contact their loved ones for the holidays.

"It's important to contact your friends and family all through out the year, especially for our soldiers and for their moral. But during the holiday season it's even more important for them to stay in touch with their friends and family to uplift their spirits through the holiday seasons. Especially because they can't be home for the holidays," said Paul Owens, of nTelos.

You can drop off your old cell phones to nTelos through December 31.
