Thornton, Mills Earn WVIAC Players of the Week

PRINCETON -

The WVIAC released its Players of the Week on Monday afternoon.

Among the recipients were a pair of local players, in Fairmont State guard Isaac Thornton and Glenville State guard Ginny Mills.

Thornton led the Falcons to an impressive 71-61 victory over Charleston on Saturday. The senior from Martinsburg tallied 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

Mills carried the Pioneers to a pair of wins last week over Charleston and Ohio Valley, respectively. Mills netted a total of 45 points, with 29 coming on Friday when the Pioneers blew out OVU 133-77.
