For high school students this time of year is prom season, but some students aren't old enough to attend or don't like all the hassle of going to prom. So the Clarksburg Library hosted an anti-prom party on Saturday.

The Walmart at the University Town Centre in Granville hosted "Shop With A Cop" Wednesday evening.
Businesses in the Star City and Granville areas donated enough money to make Christmas dreams come true for about 85 kids. Each child received $100 to spend and shopped with a cop.
Trooper Meredith of the West Virginia State Police said this gives them a chance to spend some time with the kids and encourage them.
"It's just a chance for we, as law enforcement, to get out with the kids and spread the holiday cheer and give them a chance to pick out some presents," said Trooper Meredith.
Trooper Meredith said some of the favorite items were antigravity jump boots for the boys and baby dolls for the girls.
