WESTON -
People gathered for a candlelight vigil at the Steer Steakhouse in Weston on Wednesday evening to honor the victims of last Friday's deadly school shootings in Newtown, Connecticut.
Organizers said the vigil was a way for people to remember the 27 people who died. It was also a way for them to release some feelings of anger.
"Something like this can produce an anger, a resentment, a rage inside of us. And if we don't deal with that resentment, we become like those we resent. If I have anger in my heart towards a person, or I'm jealous, or I have rage, that those things can be checked because murder doesn't start in our hands, in starts in our hearts" said local pastor Steve Felder.
The service included prayers, a balloon release, and the singing of 'Silent Night.'
