MORGANTOWN, WV (AP) — West Virginia landowners who want to apply for grants to improve wildlife habitat have until June 14 to contact the Natural Resources Conservation Service.
CHARLESTON (AP) — Much of West Virginia is bracing for several inches of snow on the first day of winter.
According to media reports, some areas could even see blizzard conditions Friday. Nearly three dozen West Virginia counties are under a winter weather advisory.
The National Weather Service says snow could continue through early Saturday in the state's eastern mountains.
Utility and road crews have been preparing for the storm.
