Chestnut Ridge Church Prepares for Christmas Eve Services

Posted: Updated:

You may have notice a brighter entrance leading to Chestnut Ridge Church in Morgantown.

That's because they're placing luminaries outside, lining the street that leads to the church.

Chestnut Ridge Church is calling their Christmas Eve Services "Bring on the Wonders".

They've been working to fill 500 paper bags with sand and candles for the past three weeks.

"Well it's been out hope that people would put these luminaries together on behalf of people they'd love to see join us on Christmas Eve. And we're just praying that God will bring back that wonder that he gave to us so many years ago and that people might discover the light of the lord," said Karen Lane, of Chestnut Ridge Church.

The luminaries will be set out for the service at 11 a.m. Sunday and on Monday for the 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. services.
