A business that offers physical therapy services is giving back by helping local food pantries.

Country Roads Physical Therapy is donating more than 500 food items for the holidays.

Country Roads encouraged people either to tag a Facebook photo or bring a non perishable food item to one of its three locations.

It promised to sweeten the pot, by matching the number of items from the location with the most donations.

The West Fairmont location had 169, followed by East Fairmont with 105 and Buckhannon with 85.

Country Roads said it appreciates the generosity of its patients and staff.

"This time of the year especially around the holidays is a time when they have more demand, but also tend to run a little bit low, so we're trying to figure out what we might able to do to help, to help that situation because of so much good stuff we've heard about them," said Bobby Oliverio, of Country Roads Physical Therapy.

Country Roads will deliver the donations to the Soup Opera in Fairmont and the Upshur Parish House in Buckhannon.

It said it hopes to make this an annual event.
