MORGANTOWN -
Some churches in the area started their holiday celebrations early.
Chestnut Ridge Church in Morgantown had its first Christmas Eve service Sunday.
They placed luminaries around the church to help bring light into their service and hopefully attract some new members.
The luminaries had sand, and a candle inside. They were lit and placed by members of the church.
Members also wrote the names of people they are thinking of during the holiday season.
Chestnut Ridge will be holding Christmas Eve services Monday at 4 and 6 P.M.
