If you are heading to work, or just traveling for the holidays on Wednesday, you could face some winter weather. If you do have a problem, it's important to know how to stay safe.

The National Safety Council has some recommendations:

 

  • Stay with your car if you are stranded.
  • Try making your car visible with a flare or bright colored cloth from your antenna.
  • If the tailpipe is not blocked by snow or ice, it is safe to run the vehicle.
  • And keep your window cracked open to keep snow and ice from sealing it closed.
