MONONGALIA COUNTY -

The West Virginia State Police is investigating a multiple vehicle collision in Monongalia County that sent several people to the hospital

It happened shortly after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday on Blue Horizon Drive, just north of Rt. 100.

The incident involved two cars and sent five people to Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Police said one of the drivers was picked up by another vehicle and left the scene. Police were able to pull that vehicle over and transport the driver to the hospital as well.

Cassville Volunteer Fire Department, Monongalia County EMS, the Monongalia County Sheriff's Department and West Virginia State Police all responded.
