Year's Eve parties are planned at several West
Virginia's state parks. Park lodges are offering a
variety of dinners and dances and packaged options at Blackwater Falls, Cacapon
Resort, Canaan Valley Resort, Chief Logan Lodge, North
Bend, Pipestem Resort, Stonewall Resort and Twin
Falls Resort.
The New Year at Blackwater Falls includes a variety of special weekends
and getaways. Blackwater Falls has a
dinner and dance planned for Dec. 31 to bring in 2013 as well as an overnight
package that includes lodging and a breakfast buffet.
A chaperoned youth party for children 4-12 is also part of the package
options. The youth party includes crafts, games, singing and other activities.

Cacapon Resort State
Park in Morgan County near
Berkeley Springs offers live music, dancing and a formal toast to start off a
New Year. The festivities begin at 9 p.m. There is an overnight package

Canaan Valley Resort State
Park near Davis in Tucker County offers
two party options. Family party includes buffet dinner, family games and DJ
entertainment, punch toast at midnight and party favors. The adult party
includes buffet dining in the Hickory Room, access to the lounge party with
live entertainment, plus champagne toast and party favors.

Chief Logan Lodge between Chapmanville and Logan brings in 2013 with live
music provided by East Street Band. Dinner will be served from 5–8 p.m. Reservations are required. The band and

North Bend State
Park has an evening of live music, food, and

The New Year's Eve package for two at Stonewall Resort's lodge includes
dinner in Stillwaters Restaurant with a menu prepared by the award-winning
culinary team. Then ring in the New Year in the TJ Muskies lounge, with live
music starting at 9 p.m., or relax by the warm, crackling fire in the Grand
Hall with a glass of wine and live music.
Twin
Falls State
Park is going "Around the World" on New Year's
Eve.
"To bring in the 2013 New Year, Twin Falls is decorating with a
worldwide theme and we're encouraging evening attire such as would be worn by a
tourist or international visitor," said Bryan Danford, activity coordinator.
"We're planning on a festive evening,"
The evening includes a dance, singing, visual effects, dinner and the
traditional midnight toast.
Twin Falls New Year's Eve packages includes a night lodging in cabins or
lodge, full dinner and dance, evening refreshments, party favors and midnight
toasts. Music is by DJ Will Shumate and a cash bar is onsite. For information
