A week after Christmas, thousands of Americans will commit to healthier and more active lifestyles.
Gyms and workout facilities will benefit from the influx of people ready to get fit.
Some gym regulars said it is both inspiring and frustrating.
"Waiting on a machine can get annoying sometimes, but seeing so many people in here going for their goals and dreams. It's just inspiring to see them getting after it," said Lexi Pinti, who regularly works out at the YMCA in Clarksburg.
Pinti said the crowds at the gym usually die down within a few months after the new year.
