Monongalia Man Arrested on Battery, Domestic Abuse, Brandishing Charges

The Monongalia County Sheriff's Department has arrested a man accused of threatening to cut up a women's face.

The sheriff's department arrested James Leach, 26, after responding to a domestic violence and brandishing complaint.

Leach hit the woman and threw a fan at her, according to the criminal complaint.  Leach held her down with his feet and threatened to cut her face up if she called the police, according to the complaint.

Leach faces charges of battery, domestic abuse, and brandishing a deadly weapon.

He's in the North Central Regional Jail with bail set at $10,000.
