The Caritas House is in need of volunteers for this year's Point-In-Time Count.

The count is a survey of homeless persons across the state. The count is coordinated by the West Virginia Coalition to End Homelessness.

Volunteers are needed to help the count on January 24 and 25. Volunteers are required to go through training on Saturday January 19.

"We try to keep up with who the population is," said John Sonnenday, of Taskforce on Homelessness. "We try to tailor our services as much as possible, so they are persona land really address the needs people have so we can help them move towards independence."

To volunteer call the Caritas House at 304-985-0021.
